We have an immediate need for a dependable and experienced individual to join our medical team as a full-time Medical Assistant in Munster, IN. This role involves providing both administrative assistance and clinical support. Responsibilities Escort patients to the exam room, escort them to the treatment room and be present during examination/treatment to assist the physician in treatment procedures. Interview patients to obtain medical histories and relevant information and document or input data into the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner. Collects all medical data to help the physician's ability to draw conclusions about the patient's needs. Ensure all charts and forms for the office visit are ready for the provider. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Cleans and disinfects exam rooms between each patient and restocks supplies. Assists RN in preparing patients for clinic or OR procedures. Monitor patients' recovery process and inform the provider of observations. Maintain communication with patients after treatment to monitor their progress. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workflows and procedures. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and always maintain patient confidentiality. Assists in keeping clinic orderly and follows appropriate cleaning protocols. Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Recent Medical Assistant experience required. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical environment. Exceptional customer service skills. Computer proficiency, including keyboarding, Microsoft Office, and eClinicalWorks or similar Electronic Medical Record platform. Proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
