Company Description Busy Dermatologist office seeks a team player for a full-time clinical position. The medical/clinical assistant works as part of the health care team by assisting the practice provider in providing high quality patient care in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will be energetic and able to remain focused in a busy atmosphere while delivering a high level of customer service. Job Description Escorting patients to exam rooms Assist provider with exams and procedures, administering medications, and performing tests. Assist patients with aftercare instructions Triage and process messages from patients, front office staff and providers. Clean and restock exam rooms Sterilize instruments Scribing for providers Qualifications Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow The ability to perform phlebotomy Candidates must consent to, and pass a criminal background check and drug screen Job Type Full-time: Mon-Thurs: 7:45am-5:30pm, Fridays 7:45am-2:00pm Experience: 1-2 years’ work experience as a nursing assistant or medical assistant (preferred but required Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations Education: High school diploma or equivalent Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines
Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will support the healthcare team by escorting patients, assisting providers with exams and procedures, administering medications, and managing aftercare instructions. Responsibilities also include triaging patient messages, cleaning and restocking exam rooms, and sterilizing instruments.
