Job Description Escort patients to exam rooms Assist physicians with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests. Assist patients with questions about medications and wound care. File charts; ensure all related reports, labs, and information are available in patients' medical records before their appointment Take telephone messages; provide feedback and answer patient/physician/pharmacy calls Process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians Clean and restock examination rooms Sterilize instruments Qualifications Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow Excellent computer skills Candidate must be willing to be crossed trained in clerical duties Candidate must be willing to train at our Latham location Job Type: Full-time: 7:30am-5pm Pay starting at $20/hr Experience: 1+ year(s) of Medical Assistant experience (Required) Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulation (Required) EMR experience (Required) Dermatology experience (Preferred) Front desk experience (Preferred) Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required) Bachelor's degree (preferred) Certifications/Licenses: Medical Assisting Certification (Preferred) Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines
