Description Part-Time Medical Assistant – San Jose, CA LGTC Group is hiring a Part-Time Medical Assistant for our Metabolic and Ketamine Psychiatric Clinic located in San Jose, CA. This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team focused on integrated mental and physical healthcare. Key Responsibilities: Reinforce patient education from group dietitian meetings, including nutrition, metabolic psychiatry principles, and lifestyle modifications (training and support will be provided as needed). Sanitize medical equipment and ensure exam rooms are ready for patient use. Confirm lab completion and follow up with patients. Take and record manual vital signs. Administer subcutaneous injections as directed by provider. Maintain medication inventory and safety standards, including logging administered doses, monitoring refrigerator temperature, and ensuring supplies are stocked and compliant. Manage insurance verifications and medication prior authorizations. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments. Ensure all patient forms and consents are completed. Assist with billing processes and help resolve billing issues. Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Required) Experience with insurance verification, billing, and appointment scheduling (Required) Proficiency in administering injections and taking manual vital signs (Required) CPR/BLS certification (Required) Previous experience working in a Metabolic or Ketamine clinic would be a huge plus.
