Description PrimeCare Medical Inc. is looking for enthusiastic and hard-working Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to work in the Medical Department at the Lancaster County Prison in Lancaster, PA. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks such as medical records request, administrative reports, Continuity of Care (COC) release, and other medical duties. Available Shifts: FT Day (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), FT Eve (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) Job Responsibilities: Maintaining examination and treatment areas Verification of medications and medical information Maintain medication records Answer telephone and processing calls Maintain filing system and confidentiality of information at all times Provide full administrative and clerical support to the medical department at the facility to include typing of various reports, letters and memorandum Data Entry Scanning documents into the computer Assisting with the credentialing process of new hires Maintain staff log Schedule transports Assist with billing Benefits: PrimeCare believes in offering a competitive compensation and benefits package to their employees. Requirements The Medical Assistant must have completed an approved Medical Assistant program and also bring some clerical experience and ability to type to the position in order to be considered. Must have Pennsylvania ChildLine clearance Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking Good grasp of patient assessment skills Effective communication skills & pleasant telephone manner Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment Working knowledge of medical terminology Minimum of 2 years medical assistant or medical office administrative support. Strong computer skills (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) Strong organizations skills and attention to detail Ability to work with confidential matters and information is required
