Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant: Job Summary The Medical Assistant Non-Certified provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge. BLS Certification required within 14 days of start. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree. Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program. Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care
