Description Monarch Maples Pediatrics is seeking an energetic, flexible, team-oriented individual for our busy St. Albans and Enosburgh offices. Excellent telephone, customer service and communications skills are a must. This will be a dual role as a Medical Receptionist and a Medical Assistant. Responsibilities: · Obtain and accurately record patient vitals · Administer vaccines · Perform point of care (POC) testing · Perform venipuncture · Complete various forms/documents · Document patient information clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) · Support providers during visits as needed · Maintain a clean, safe and organized clinical environment · Schedule patients for office visits and coordinate follow ups · Maintain and manage triage bucket, ensuring timely responses and follow-through · Maintain and process the fax bucket, including routing documents appropriately · Communicate results to patients and families per provider direction · Process medication refills and electronic prior authorizations Skills: - Knowledge in basic vital signs - Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations and pediatrics - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Familiarity with phone systems and handling high call volumes Experience: -Medical Assistant certification preferred (or equivalent experience) - Previous experience working in a medical office or similar healthcare setting is preferred. -Experience working in pediatrics is preferred Job Type: Full-time Location: Primarily Saint Albans office with working in Enosburg office occasionally Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Hours: M-F 8-4:30 some evenings as needed during busy season Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
