Description Crownview Co-Occurring Institute is looking for highly motivated full time Medical Assistant for a fast-paced mental health/substance abuse treatment facility to assist the Nurse Practitioner with scheduling patient's treatments, administering oral and injectable medications, invoicing treatments, collecting payments. Requirements Position Responsibilities Scribe and communicate pertinent information to/from providers Obtain medication authorizations and appeals Medication refills/requests with local pharmacy staff Administer oral and inject-able medications Document all medication updates / changes in Electronic Health Records Attention to detail with the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others Excellent communication skills, positive customer service skills, strong time management skills Must have reliable transportation Assists in other Administrative Department tasks / duties as necessary Inventory management experience High level of professionalism Data Entry, Excel, and POS skills (1-2 years) Required Knowledge and Skills Experience in giving injections Basic insurance knowledge is required Upbeat, positive and professional attitude Flexible to take on new responsibilities/tasks as they come Knowledge and desire to learn about insurance, Medication and prior authorizations. Microsoft Excel and Word Electronic Health Record experience preferred 2+ years in the medical field, Mental Health experience preferred Understand and comply with HIPAA and maintain professionalism at all times. CPR and First Aid Certification Required. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education, Training, and Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred; or Minimum two years of experience, including one year of experience in behavioral health care, preferred. Attainment of at least 18 years of age A Health Screening with negative TB Test Results Current CPR/ First Aid certification. D.L.
