Responsibilities This PART-TIME/PRN position will support Lung Center Downtown and its surrrounding hub site locations. Monday/Tuesday availability required. The "Medical Office Specialist" provides Front/Back office duties to various pulmonary providers in an outpatient setting. This position is a traveling Medical Assistant/Medical Office Specialist who will be primarily supporting providers at offsite clinic locations. Front Office Duties: Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule and confirm patient appointments and procedures Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or fees as needed. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers. Complete patient check-in and check-out processes. Back Office Duties: Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR). Maintaining and stocking exam rooms Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers. Other duties as assigned Requirements Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one-year experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Other Requirements: Will be required to travel to satellite offices including but not limited to: Overlea Lutherville Reisterstown Glen Burnie Ellicott City Min USD $18.66/Hr. Max USD $30.79/Hr.
