Description Location: Montezuma Rural Health Clinic Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Position Summary: The Montezuma Rural Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the clinic and ensuring high-quality patient care under the supervision of the RN and providers. Qualifications: Current Kansas license (LPN) or Medical Assistant certification. Current BLS certification required. Previous experience in a similar clinical setting preferred. Basic knowledge of medications and medical terminology. Demonstrated patient care experience. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Must be mature, dependable, well-organized, and able to work effectively with patients and staff. Responsibilities: Complete mandatory education and training (e.g., CareLearning courses). Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards. Prepare and room patients for appointments, taking vitals and conducting accurate initial interviews. Document care and observations accurately in the medical record. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms. Respond to patient needs and administer medications as ordered. Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed. Perform lab tests and maintain equipment per clinic standards. Review test results with patients after provider review. Complete other tasks as assigned by the Clinic Nurse Manager. Work Environment: This position is classified as OSHA Risk Category I, indicating potential exposure to blood or body fluids..
