Premier Health Primary Care Beavercreek (MA or LPN) FT / 80 hours per pay period Summary of Position The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and supervision of the center’s physicians and/or providers. Nature and Scope The Certified Medical Assistant works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or provider. A minimum patient base of 1,000 to 3,000 patients is served, and an average of 20 – 50 patients are seen each day. The Certified MA will assist providers with patient care that includes, but is not limited to; order entry, reporting, phone calls, clerical, and organizational tasks, and related duties. Qualifications 1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate required. 2. Medical Assistant Certification required. Must maintain current MA certification with CEU requirements, along with BLS certification, for the duration of employment. 3. Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program required. 4. Experience in an ambulatory care environment preferred. 5. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians. 6. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and patient experience standards. 7. BLS certified at the time of employment, or within the first 3 months. 8. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
