Description Premier Neurosurgery is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who also excels in patient coordination and service to join our growing specialty practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned Medical Assistant who enjoys both clinical responsibilities and guiding patients through their care journey. Position Details Job Type: Full-time Classification: Non-exempt (hourly) Compensation: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Key Responsibilities Patient Coordination Serve as a primary point of contact for patients before and after visits Coordinate appointments, imaging, and specialty referrals Guide patients through complex care plans with clarity and responsiveness Communicate with hospitals, imaging centers, and referring providers Ensure a seamless and organized patient experience from first contact through follow-up Clinical Support Patient registration and check-out Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs Initiating referrals and entering orders Support authorization coordination and follow-up Accurate and timely EMR documentation Provide patient education and follow-up instructions Qualifications Extensive Medical Assistant experience (typically 5+ years) preferred Specialty practice experience strongly preferred (neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, spine, or similar) Strong organizational and communication skills Professional and service-oriented in all patient interactions Comfortable working in a high-touch, patient-centered care environment Ability to anticipate needs and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail Team-oriented with a proactive approach to patient care Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Manual dexterity required for clinical tasks and computer work Why Join Premier Neurosurgery Work closely with a specialized neurosurgical team Be part of a practice focused on exceptional patient experience and clinical excellence Collaborative, respectful, and professional work environment Opportunity to contribute to a growing specialty practice If you are an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys both clinical care and patient coordination, we would love to hear from you.
