This includes triaging patients, preparing them for procedures, assisting providers during exams or injections, performing diagnostic testing and clinical tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation. You may also support select wellness-related procedures as needed (e.g., vitamin injections, IV therapy if certified). Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Room and triage patients, collect and document vitals, medical history, pain assessments, medication lists, and chief complaints Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and necessary equipment Assist providers with in-office procedures, including pain management injections, minor urgent care procedures, wound care, and splinting Administer injections and perform IV placements if certified Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, flu, urinalysis, glucose, etc.) Perform EKGs and assist with diagnostic workflows Patient Care & Communication Provide clear patient instructions regarding treatment plans, procedures, medications, and follow-up care Support triage activities under provider guidance Coordinate referrals, imaging orders, and follow-up appointments Ensure a professional, positive, and compassionate patient experience in all interactions Documentation & EMR Accurately document all clinical notes, treatments, and communications in the EMR Ensure timely completion of charts, orders, and patient updates Clinic Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas Monitor, track, and restock medical supplies and medications Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols Support wellness services as needed (vitamin injections, IV therapy if certified) Requirements Qualifications Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (required) Experience in pain management, urgent care, primary care, orthopedics, or related medical setting preferred Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly preferred IV certification preferred (not required) Proficient with EMR systems Skilled with IM injections; IV insertion skills a plus Strong communication, patient service, and multitasking abilities Organized, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
