Description Prairie Band Health Service is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide exceptional healthcare services The Uintah & Ouray Health Center (Uintah-Ouray Service Unit) is an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Fort Duchesne, UT, serving the Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah & Ouray Reservation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B). Details: Full Time Paid Holidays PTO Accrued Sick Time Duties: · Provide patient education. · Carry out physician orders; administer medications, oxygen, and a variety of treatments. · Manage therapeutic devices such as respiratory and electrocardiograph machines and other medical equipment and supplies. · Measure and assess vital signs, height, weight, and neurological status, visual acuity and hearing. · Screen patients for alcohol dependence, depression, etc. · Collaborate and coordinate patient care with other health care providers. Requirements · Completion of a medical assistant program, certified/licensed medical assistant certificate, preferred · Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) · Must have an active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action certificate/license as a medical assistant in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States · Must be a U.S. citizen living primarily within the United States. · Must be willing and able to complete and pass the federal security clearance process. Responsibilities
