We are currently in search of a Medical Assistant (certified or registered preferred), who likes to connect with people and has a compassionate outlook for our patients at our Beavercreek location. Beavercreek Commons Family Practice, like all Providence Medical Group primary care practices, is a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, and focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care.  This is a very busy location. What you will do: * Room patients. Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. * Complete patient interview and history. * Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assist with procedures as ordered by provider. * May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests. * Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients. * Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples. * Administer vaccines as directed by provider. * Manage a high volume of patient requests. * Administrative/clerical duties as required. * Travel between locations may be required.   Skills: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance.  *  Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities  *  Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively  *  Proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills and HIPAA compliance  *  Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments  *  Ability to draw blood * High level of professionalism * Athena experience preferred   Education:  * High School diploma or equivalent.   * Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program * Certification/Registration from an Accredited Board preferred or a minimum of 1 year experience and the ability to obtain certification or registration.
