Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our Mental Healthcare Team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our clinic. Candidates with a passion for mental health and prior experience in outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health are strongly encouraged to apply. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Experience in mental health, emergency care, urgent care, or hospital medicine is highly valued. Key Responsibilities: Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and assist providers during visits Administer medications and injections as directed by providers Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system Support appointment scheduling, patient communications, and follow-up coordination Ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and education regarding treatment plans and medications Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained Cross-train in other clinic support roles to ensure adequate coverage and team support Collaborate with colleagues to promote efficient clinic operations Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and consistency in performance Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant & or CNA (CMA/AAMA/CNA) or equivalent experience (required) BLS certification (required) Prior experience in mental health, psychiatry, or behavioral health (strongly preferred) Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities focused on patient service Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ICD coding (preferred) Reliability, professionalism, and flexibility are essential Join Our Team: Make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
