JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings but not required. This role involves providing essential patient care, performing administrative tasks, and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience from intake to discharge.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions.
  • Proficient in taking vital signs and performing basic life support techniques.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge desired but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing exceptional patient service.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical tasks and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient intake, including gathering medical history and vital signs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and support during examinations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patients.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and assist healthcare providers during examinations.
  • Perform basic life support as needed and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate follow-up care for patients.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
  • Support the healthcare team in various settings, including outpatient clinics, emergency medicine, and inpatient care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding.
