Description We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Medical Assistant to join our busy pain management clinic. As a vital member of our care team, you’ll support Pain Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants by preparing patients, documenting visits, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic flow. You’ll record and update medical histories, schedule appointments, and perform routine clinical tasks such as drawing blood, checking vitals, and giving IM injections. Responsibilities: Clean and prepare medical rooms for providers Prepare injectables and medications Stock rooms Order supplies Chart in appropriate EMR system Scribe as needed for provider(s) Scan and fax documents Answer phones as needed Schedule appointments in EMR system Administer IM injections Perform blood draws What About Benefits? Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems required (eClinicalWorks preferred) New graduates welcome; 1+ years of related work experience is preferred Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical records Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy Physical Requirements Requires the effective use of office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, and printers Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time Ability to communicate via phone and in person in an active office environment Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times About Us Join our dynamic team at Arizona Pain, a leading integrated pain clinic where collaboration and patient-centric care are at the core of our practice.
