We provide leading podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists with operational support so they can spend their time focused on growing their business and delivering exceptional patient care. Our team is looking for a hard-working medical assistant who will work with the physicians and other members of the practice by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties. This person will work to fulfill patient needs and ensure smooth patient flow within the practice. Duties and Responsibilities Greet patients on the phone and in person Place patients in the exam rooms Take vital signs of patients Assist and setup up for examination, treatment, and procedures Keep accurate patient files Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatrist Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment Maintain HIPAA Requirements Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound Strong communication skills and ability to actively listen Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties Customer services skills Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures Education and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Current American Heart Association CPR Certification Certification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent combination of training EMR Experience, Athena experience is a plus Benefits of Working with Desert Foot and Ankle Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans HSA with Employer Contribution FSA Generous PTO Program 401k with a 3% Match Employee Assistance Program Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability To find out more, visit https://www.mt-podiatry.com/
