Description
Key Responsibilities Certified Medical Assistants at MDB will: Greet and prepare patients, take medical histories, and escort them to exam rooms Obtain vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation) and update records Collect specimens (blood, urine, swabs) and properly label them Assist clinicians during exams and procedures—e.g., vaccines, blood draws, EKGs Clean and stock exam rooms, maintain inventory and equipment Educate patients and families on medications, preventive care, and self-management Perform administrative tasks: scheduling, billing support, phone triage, and maintaining paperwork Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA) from an accredited program At least 1 year clinical experience preferred—primary care or rural clinic experience is a plus Proficient in vital signs, injections, phlebotomy and basic procedures Strong communication, empathy, and customer-service skills Comfortable with EHR systems (scheduling, documentation What MDB Offers Competitive compensation with full benefits (health, dental, vision, retirement) Monday–Friday schedule—no nights, weekends, or call duties Supportive team culture and modern EMR systems
