Description Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is looking for a full time Medical Assistant to join our top notch team of professionals! We have three facilities located in: Spring, TX Woodlands, TX Montgomery, TX YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO TRAVEL TO OTHER LOCATIONS AS NEEDED. Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the possibility of working earlier or later at times, MUST BE FLEXIBLE Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Clinic Lead, the Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative assistance, supporting the physicians/providers and other healthcare professionals and the patients with exceptional care. The medical assistant is responsible for ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly and that patients receive and utilize satisfactory clinical services. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Essential Duties: Checking schedules and organizing patient flow Verify patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment and charting Relaying instructions to patients/families; educates patients by providing medication and treatment information and instructions; answering questions Recording billing information of services rendered; completing insurance forms (if applicable); responding to insurance and other third-party inquiries Schedule new and established appointments for surgical procedures. Requirements Education/Qualifications: Medical Assistant diploma and/or Certification (RMA/CMA) from an accredited institution, preferred. 2 years' experience in an outpatient clinic environment or orthopedic preferred as medical assistant Experience with EEG, Neuro and Bracing/Casting a plus Must have experience in multi-disciplinary medicine and working for multiple providers.
