Description

Primary Care/Integrative office looking for a compassionate Medical Assistant to be part of our TCIM team.
Work 40 hours Monday - Friday’s
7:45AM - 4:45PM
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or nurse practitioner
  • Assist physician and nurse practitioner in exam rooms
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s electronic chart
  • Give instructions to patients as instructed by provider
  • Ensure all related reports, labs and information and available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
  • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physicians/pharmacy calls
  • Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and nurse practitioners
  • Maintain all logs and required check (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, etc.)
  • Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered, to include EKGs, urine dip sticks, phlebotomy, etc.
  • Ability to multitask
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
