Description MEDICAL ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM THROUGH STEPFUL Advance your career and increase your earning potential through our relationship with Stepful, a 4-month online educational platform that prepares students for the NHA CCMA exam to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Join our team and become certified while working full-time! Midwest provides full tuition reimbursement and assistance to prospective team members in exchange for a two-year service commitment following program completion. As you are completing the program, we will introduce and train you to the role of Medical Assistant, while you're learning CMA fundamentals through your coursework. Medical Assistants support the physicians and are crucial to for our clinic environment. As a Medical Assistant you will: Completes patient intake, gathers and documents chief complaints, HPIs and vitals. Presents the patient to the clinician. Responsible for the daily maintenance of the laboratory area and equipment logs. Collects updated patient information and charts patient exams in the EMR within the time parameters of the patient appointment. Handles patient private health information within the guidelines of HIPAA and company privacy practices. Administer medications and treatments as directed. Assist other healthcare professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and minor medical procedures. Provide patient education materials and communicate physician advice/instructions. Other duties as assigned. Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Willingness and ability to work and travel between all five clinic locations in Vadnais Heights, Woodbury, Eagan, and Lakeville, MN and Hudson, WI. BLS or CPR certified or willingness to become certified. Valid Driver’s License A resident of Minnesota/Western Wisconsin or in the process of relocating to Minnesota.
