We are Looking for: The Medical Assistant (MA) in our Urology clinic plays a vital role in supporting physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. This position involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent service. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including obtaining vital signs and medical history. Assist providers during urologic procedures and exams. Perform basic clinical tasks such as catheter changes, bladder scans, and specimen collection (urine, blood). Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider. Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of instruments and equipment. Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up visits. Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Handle patient inquiries and provide education regarding pre- and post-procedure instructions. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Follow infection control protocols and clinic safety standards. Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies. Performs related duties as assigned.
