  Back-Office Medical Assistant Position Busy Gilbert Urology Practice is looking for a motivated, professional and friendly nationally-certified Medical Assistant to deliver compassionate care to patients by assisting with clinical task’s, performing support services for clinical staff and providing direct interaction with patients and their caregivers. Schedule:  Full-time Monday through Friday schedule Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Prepares and sanitizes all exam rooms for the day as well as in between each patient * Rooms patient’s; completes vital signs and applicable patient assessment items * Calls patient’s with results as directed by the provider * Sets up orders for phlebotomy and labs * Handles physician requests and coordinates special testing * Assist coworkers in any area to provide quality patient care * Submit prior authorization for medication * Prepare physician dictation and send to referring providers * Assist in office procedures and surgery * Catheter changes * Suture and staple removal * Perform urinalysis * Prepare and send urine and pathology labs * Administer injections and bladder instillation * Clean and sterilize instruments * Maintains a professional, team oriented, positive attitude * Must be able to type and do work in an EMR system * Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner * Performs other duties as requested by supervisor, administrator or physicians Education, Experience & Skills: * National MA certification is strongly preferred (will be required within 90 days of hire) * Graduation from a medical assistant program * 1-2 years’ experience as a medical assistant preferred but not required * Knowledge of HIPPA rules & Regulations * Knowledge of diagnostic testing and urological procedures preferred * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPS coding * Knowledge of basic mathematics * Proficiency with use of the internet * Ability to use office equipment, computers We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package including health/dental/vision and life insurance, 401K and a caring work environment.
