Description
The Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor’s office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures. Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):  * Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures * Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR * Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting) * Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education * Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed * Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service * Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies * Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance Medical Assistant Required Skills and Experience:  * High School Diploma or GED required * Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience * CMA or RMA certification preferred * Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred) * Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment * Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused * Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed * Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Medical Assistant Benefits Offered * Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available)  * Life Insurance  * Disability Insurance  * 401(k) plan with Company Match  * Employee Discount Program  * Paid Time Off  * Paid Holidays  Medical Assistant Physical Requirements:  The physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
