Medical Assistant PRN AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood is hiring a Per Diem Medical Assistant   Welcome to AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood :  is looking to add a Medical Assistant Surgical  who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center!  As a Medical Assistant Surgical  at AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease. You will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care by providing consultations and services in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment.   We take pride in our friendly and supportive work environment, where continuity and trust are nurtured through stable and long-lasting relationships with our patients. While we work collaboratively as a group, each patient is assigned a dedicated gastroenterologist, ensuring personalized care and attention.   Medical Assistant Surgical  at AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood :   The Medical Assistant Surgical  is responsible for various clinical duties throughout the perioperative setting in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Policies and Procedures.   Job Responsibilities:   The Surgical Clinical Assistant will assist with:  Nurses and physicians in patient care as needed Pre-op and Post-op patient flow Operating Room procedures Instrument reprocessing Monitoring supply inventory levels Maintaining electronic patient medical records Light clerical duties as necessary Maintaining a clean and safe environment according to industry standards    QUALIFICATIONS:          High school graduate or equivalent          Current CPR certification or will obtain upon hire          One year experience in a medical environment preferred.
Responsibilities
The Surgical Clinical Assistant will perform various clinical duties within the perioperative setting, assisting nurses and physicians with patient care, pre-op/post-op flow, and operating room procedures. Responsibilities also include instrument reprocessing, monitoring supplies, maintaining electronic medical records, and performing light clerical tasks.
