We partner with health systems, providers, and patients to perform clinical care services that improve patient outcomes, while also improving the patient experience through engagement with the patient as an active participant in their healthcare.  About the Role: The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring the smooth operation of clinical and administrative tasks within a medical facility. This position involves direct patient interaction, including preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, performing EKGs, and obtaining patient medical records.  The Medical Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment by properly sterilizing medical instruments and managing specimen processing. Additionally, this role requires effective communication skills to answer phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate with Providers and other healthcare staff. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant contributes to delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the overall efficiency of the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications: * Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs. * Proficiency in performing EKGs * Basic knowledge of medical instrument sterilization and specimen processing. * Ability to navigate multiple electronic medical records * Strong communication skills and experience in answering phones in a medical setting. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). * Experience working alongside in a clinic setting or in a similar healthcare team environment. * Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. * Additional training in patient care techniques and medical office administration. Responsibilities: * Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medications and medical histories. * Assist in obtain appropriate medical records from providers. * Assist healthcare providers, including Nurse Practitioners, during medical procedures and examinations. * Sterilize medical instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment to prevent infection. * Answer phones, schedule patient appointments, and manage front-desk administrative duties. * Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations. * Coordinate with healthcare team members to facilitate efficient patient flow and care delivery. Skills: The required skills such as Medical Assisting, performing EKGs, and coordinated medical records are essential for performing clinical tasks that directly impact patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Proficiency with medical instruments and sterilization techniques ensures a safe and hygienic environment, reducing the risk of infection.  Strong communication skills, including answering phones and coordinating with Nurse Practitioners, facilitate smooth administrative operations and enhance patient experience.
