Medical Assistant Responsibilities: (Included, but not limited to) · Assisting all Doctors/Nurses/Reps/Coordinators/Managers in support of delivering expert medical care to our patients · Direct interaction with patients (Greeting/Collecting intake info/Setting up Exam Rooms/Phone Calls, etc.) · Other Day-to-day activities include fax correspondence, point-of-care testing, preparing/assisting for surgical procedures · Deliver our mission of bringing state-of-the-art expertise and patient care to our clientele. Requirements of the Medical Assistant: · Completion of a technical/vocational training school program with either CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification -OR- · Emergency Medical Technician certification; as well as a high school diploma or equivalent preferred · BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification · Medical Assistant experience or the equivalent thereof in a high-volume medical setting with the ability to read, write and interpret medical terminology · Scheduling flexibility to be able work morning/afternoon/evening hours four to five days per week as needed · Demonstrated ability and strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service principles · Positive and energetic attitude which inspires other team members · Excellent organizational and time-management skills with an ability to remain focused under pressure · Aptitude to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently or in a group. · Technology proficiency is critical, including previous EMR/EHR experience as well as working knowledge of Microsoft software products such as Word and Outlook, · Scribe/Document for physician while in the room. Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will support doctors and nurses by interacting directly with patients to collect intake information, setting up exam rooms, and handling phone calls. Daily activities also include managing fax correspondence, performing point-of-care testing, and preparing for or assisting with surgical procedures.
