Accucare Nursing & Home Care is a leading home health and private duty nursing agency serving patients across New York State. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller with a strong background in home health billing to join our growing team. The right candidate will ensure accurate claims submission, timely payment posting, and compliance with payer regulations to support smooth financial operations and patient care continuity.

• Prepare, review, and submit claims for home health and private duty nursing services to Medicaid, MVP, and other insurance carriers via portals and clearinghouses.
• Review physician orders, authorizations, and patient documentation to ensure claims meet payer and regulatory requirements.
• Track and follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims; resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Post payments and adjustments accurately in the billing system (e.g., KanTime).
• Generate and send invoices for school contracts, private pay, and insurance-covered patients.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) and maintain clear documentation of outstanding balances.
• Communicate with payers, families, and internal teams regarding billing questions and resolutions.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, NYSDOH, and agency billing policies.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and reconciliations as needed.
