Northeast Rehab is excited to be assembling a patient-focused team for our brand-new NERA Pain Center at Montage-a physician-owned Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) specializing in procedures for patients with chronic pain.
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to play a critical role in ensuring accurate claim processing, insurance verification, and coding compliance for our fast-paced outpatient surgery center.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ASC Medical Biller will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, processing claims, posting payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with payer guidelines, coding standards, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of surgical billing, EOB interpretation, and experience with commercial and government payers.

As an ASC Medical Biller you will:

• Review and submit accurate medical claims for outpatient surgical procedures
• Verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorizations
• Apply correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
• Monitor and follow up on claims to ensure timely reimbursement
• Resolve denied or unpaid claims and manage appeals as necessary
• Post payments and reconcile billing discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific requirements
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve documentation or coding issues
