Description Arthritis Consultants of Tidewater is a patient-focused rheumatology practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. We are seeing an experienced Medical Biller to join our team. Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Process and submit insurance claims accurately and timely Review patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies Manage Accounts Receivable Follow-up on denied and unpaid claims Communicate effectively with patients, insurance carriers, and internal staff Benefits: Competitive salary between $45,000 - $50,000 annually (based on experience) Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays 401K & Profit Sharing after one year Hours are M-Th 8a-5p and F 8a-2p No Weekends Supportive Work Environment Requirements Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years medical billing experience required (specialty billing preferred) Proficiency with NextGen EMR/EPM system highly desirable Experience with rheumatology billing a strong plus Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement practices Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Responsibilities

The Medical Biller will process and submit insurance claims accurately and timely while managing accounts receivable. They will also follow up on denied and unpaid claims and communicate effectively with patients and insurance carriers.
