Description ElderCare of Bemidji is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join us as Biller and Business Office Manager. Responsibilities Primary responsibility is billing Medicare A, MSHO/MSC+, Medicaid, and private pay for resident stays in our Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Livings, and Independent Living for ElderCare of Bemidji Campus Prepare, review and send resident statements and collection letters. Participate in monthly or quarterly AR reviews with the community teams, providing information on nonpayment of private balances. Identify trends and provide feedback regarding billing issues and uncollectible accounts monthly. Follow-up on outstanding resident receivables (A/R) through a variety of methods. Review, post/upload, and reconcile designated invoices and charges in the billing system to generate and submit monthly resident statements Attend weekly Medicare meeting with therapy consultants to stay up to date on upcoming insurance changes Complete insurance verifications for possible admissions Track census changes for billing Complete LTC insurance forms for residents Work with facility managers from all buildings on campus related to billing Manage resident trust fund Make daily remote deposits to the bank Oversee office supplies/inventory and ordering for Havenwood Care Center Answer phone and assist with basic office duties, as needed Follow-up on voicemails and emails in a timely manner Requirements Strong attention to detail Ability to develop and follow a process Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Persistence in solving billing issues Ability to spend a substantial amount of time on the phone working with insurance companies or families for collections Desire to learn Punctual Prior SNF billing experience strongly preferred Reports to: Havenwood Care Center Administrator Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. 72 hours/2 week pay period. Some flexibility in how 72 hours are met.
