This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of the practice by ensuring that all billing activities are conducted in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Qualifications Required Education: - High School Diploma Required Experience: - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical billing or a related healthcare administrative role. - Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. - Experience working in a surgical or outpatient setting is preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong understanding of medical billing procedures, including coding, billing regulations, and insurance claim processing. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. - Proficient in using billing software and other computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle billing discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
