Title: Medical Billing Analyst Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite Location: Plaza ONE, Next to PSO pump, Main GT road near DHA Phase 2 Gate 1, Islamabad Timings: 2 PM -11 PM (Pakistan Standard Time) *Sage + Healthcare billing experience is a must VASL is hiring a Medical Billing Analyst for a U.S.-based healthcare practice specializing in home-based primary care services. This role will oversee full financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, medical billing oversight, and revenue cycle management (RCM). The ideal candidate has strong healthcare finance experience, deep understanding of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and proven leadership within medical billing or RCM teams. Key Responsibilities: - Financial Accounting & Reporting Oversee all accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, month-end close) and prepare timely GAAP-compliant financial statements. Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and accurate financial records. - Revenue Cycle Management Lead the full revenue cycle including billing, claim submission, collections, and denial management. Improve clean claim rates, reduce denials, and monitor key RCM metrics. - Healthcare Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid rules, HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and state regulations. Maintain audit readiness and internal control systems. - Budgeting & Forecasting Prepare annual budgets, monthly variance analysis, and rolling forecasts. Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions. - Cost Analysis & Operational Efficiency Analyze costs by service line, identify inefficiencies, and recommend cost-saving initiatives without impacting care quality. - Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Manage cash flow, liquidity, AP/AR timing, and banking relationships. Prepare cash flow projections and alert leadership to cash risks. - Strategic Financial Support Advise leadership on major financial decisions, expansion opportunities, service line performance, and capital investments. Develop KPIs and dashboards. - Team Leadership Supervise and develop finance, accounting, and billing staff. Set expectations, provide feedback, and ensure a high-performing finance function. - Systems & Technology Management Oversee accounting software, practice management systems, and EHR financial integration. Ensure data accuracy and support system upgrades. - External Reporting & Audit Coordination Manage external audits, prepare required documentation, and address audit findings. Provide financial information to external stakeholders. - Regulatory Reporting Ensure all required healthcare regulatory filings are submitted accurately and on time. Stay updated on changing regulations and implement policy updates. Experience 5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience. At least 5 years in a Controller or similar leadership role. Strong healthcare finance experience (Medicare/Medicaid, billing, compliance). Experience with organizations $5–20M revenue and growth environments preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of healthcare accounting standards and reimbursement. Proficiency in SAGE or similar ERP systems. Experience with practice management and EHR systems is preferred. Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and RCM management. Soft Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills for both financial and non-financial audiences. Proven leadership and team development abilities.
