We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical billing processes, coding systems, and medical terminology. This role is essential for ensuring accurate billing and collections within our medical office, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding with a strong understanding of DRG, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and general medical terminology.
• Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems is essential for efficient record management.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, demonstrating knowledge of medical records management.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies using appropriate coding systems including DRG, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10.
• Review patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete for billing purposes.
• Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and conducting medical collections as needed.
• Utilize EMR and EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and billing information.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient records or billing issues.
• Stay updated on changes in medical coding regulations and billing practices to ensure compliance.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their accounts, including explaining charges and payment options.
