Duties > The Billing Specialist manages accounts for various outpatient mental health agencies and ensures all claims and payments are processed at the highest level. Duties include submitting all claims, posting payments, calling patients and sending invoices, submitting provider disputes, maintaining relationships with agency owners and providers, and other necessary billing functions that arise. The ideal candidate takes complete ownership of their accounts, can use critical thinking to investigate and solve complex insurance issues, can work delicately with mental health patients, and can easily navigate technology requirements.

Requirements > The right candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Outpatient billing experience
• Knowledge of multiple insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Excellent documentation and written communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work learn quickly and work independently
• Relationship building with agency owners and providers
• Home office space to work with limited interruptions

Preferred Candidates > The following are preferred qualifications but not required:

• Outpatient Billing Experience
• Billing Certification
• Behavioral Health Experience
• Knowledge of Provider Credentialing
• Knowledge of Behavioral Health Coding
