Description Call Center Representative Patient Services Non-Exempt | Full-Time Location: Remote (Twin Cities Metro residency required) Job Summary Tareen Dermatology is seeking a full-time Call Center Representative to support our Patient Services team by serving as a primary point of contact for patients across our clinic locations. This role is responsible for managing inbound patient communications, scheduling appointments, and providing accurate information and follow-up to ensure an excellent patient experience. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Prior customer service experience Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision Reliable attendance and dependability Comfort working across multiple systems, including scheduling platforms and electronic health records (EHR) Preferred 1–2 years of prior healthcare experienc Knowledge of medical terminology Responsibilities Respond to inbound patient communications (phone and electronic), providing accurate information and routing clinical questions appropriately Schedule appointments across all clinic locations accurately and efficiently Enter and maintain patient information and documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) Support providers and clinical teams by responding to patient needs within scope of practice Verify insurance information and make necessary follow-up calls Monitor and manage voicemail and electronic message queues to ensure timely responses Route incoming documents (fax and electronic) to appropriate teams Prepare and maintain new patient records within the EHR Process medical record release requests in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and clinic operations Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role is performed in a clinical office or call center environment and involves extended periods of computer and phone-based work. The position requires the ability to sit for the majority of the workday, with occasional standing and walking. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, visual acuity, and verbal communication.
