What you will do: This position is responsible for the prompt and courteous assistance to DVCH patients. The position is accountable for scheduling follow-up appointments and providing patients with referrals. In addition, the position is responsible for preparation/completion of referrals, authorizations, scheduling appointments, coordinating care between departments/facilities and registration back-up for the department, and the closing the loop in care by obtaining reports from specialists. Must be able to function independently in a high pressure environment. Must be able to present a positive and enthusiastic demeanor while directly working with patients. Excellent oral communication skills are required. Prior knowledge of the various insurance plans in which the organization participates is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be required.
