Medical Clinic AssistantJane-Clair Medical CenterNorth York, ON • $37.00/hour • Full-time, Permanent

Jane-Clair Medical Center is looking for a Clinic Assistant to join our team in North York. We're a busy family and pediatric practice, and we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, genuinely cares about patient experience, and works well alongside physicians and other health care professionals. If you're organized, hands-on, and comfortable juggling clinical support with administrative tasks, we'd love to hear from you.

  • What you'll doAssist physicians in assessing patients and provide day-to-day support to our health care team
  • Help with minor clinical procedures like abscess drainage prep, suture and staple removal, ear irrigation, diabetic sensor placement, and immunizations
  • Interview patients, take their general medical and ophthalmic history, and record vital signs
  • Collect and submit throat and wound swab specimens as directed by the physician
  • Support our pediatric and family medicine services, including prepping patients, giving immunizations, and coordinating follow-up care
  • Keep prescription records up to date and organize lab, imaging, and consultation reports in our EMR for physician review
  • Maintain accurate patient files, requisitions, and referrals, and handle general paperwork and filing
  • Clean and maintain sterilization equipment following standard safety protocols
  • Remove casts, sutures, and pins
  • Reinforce physician instructions to patients around medications, referrals, appointments, and next steps in their care


  • What we're looking forA Doctor of Medicine degree
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Able to stay on your feet and move between sitting, standing, and walking throughout your shift
  • Great communication skills and a genuine team-player attitude
  • Organized, reliable, and able to read a room - you notice what patients and colleagues need


Schedule & payThis is a full-time, permanent position at $37.00 per hour, with 30 to 40 hours per week. Our shifts rotate across days, evenings, mornings, and weekends, so some flexibility is helpful. This is an on-site role at our primary location in North York (2698 Jane St, Suite 2nd Floor, North York, ON M3L 1S5) there's no option to work remotely, and free on-site parking is included.

LanguageEnglish is required for this role. Tagalog is considered a strong asset, given the community we serve, but not a mandatory requirement.
