Job Overview: As Medical Coding Analyst, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes. The role requires a thorough understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelines to ensure proper billing and reimbursement from insurance companies. Attention to detail and adherence to coding guidelines and compliance standards are critical to minimize errors and prevent claim denials. Job Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to support reimbursement processes and ensure maximum efficiency. Guarantee that medical coding sequences align accurately with patient medical records. Rigorously ensure all medical records are coded correctly, maintaining high standards of precision. Analyze medical records in detail to uncover and address any deficiencies in documentation. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to improve the accuracy and compliance of medical coding. Act as a resource and subject matter expert for other coding staff, providing guidance and expertise. Oversee the integrity of patient, insurance, and clinical information, ensuring completeness and soliciting additional data when necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Above 1 to 3 years of experience in US Medical Billing or Medical Coding role. Good understanding of full life cycle revenue cycle management. Ability to effectively initiate and manage multi-disciplined projects. Up-to-date knowledge of reimbursement regulations and compliance issues of third-party payers (Insurance companies). Good communication and analytical skills. Strong professional demeanor with the inherent quality to rapidly establish credibility and rapport with clinicians, managers, customers and external groups. Ability to identify opportunities and solutions for process improvement along with the skills of planning and implementation of these solutions.
