Overview Models assign codes that look right and bill wrong: an ICD-10-CM code one notch short on specificity, a CPT modifier that changes the whole claim, an NCCI edit ignored, an E&M; level the note never supported. A single miscode is the difference between a clean claim and a denial or an audit finding, and a certified coder is who catches it. As a Medical Coder you'll evaluate AI coding output against real guidelines and the underlying documentation, and write the assignments a careful auditor would sign off on. What you’ll actually do

• Write prompts that test coding accuracy: ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS assignment, modifiers, and E&M; leveling from real clinical documentation.

• Review AI output for wrong or unspecified codes, bad modifiers, missed NCCI edits, and codes the note does not support, and rate the reasoning.

• Write the correct coding when the model falls short, tied to the documentation and current guidelines. Roles this fits Common backgrounds: Medical Coder (CPC/CCS), Coding Auditor, Medical Billing Specialist.

What we look for

• Hands-on medical coding experience, ideally with a credential such as CPC or CCS.
