Description The Medical Device Assembler performs a variety of assembly operations in our clean room or fiber optic rooms. Tasks include assembly of hooks, cutters, tubing, sealing, bonding, brush assembly, inspection, and working with fiber optic material. Assemblers will be able to complete the following: Essential Functions Read a ruler or tape measure and cut fiber to specific measurements. Follow work instructions & pay attention to detail Be able to read some drawings Use a microscope for some operations Be able to follow written and verbal instructions Able to complete manufacturing documents Maintain a clean and safe environment Use some hand and power tools Has some understanding of product flow. Perform job tasks in the clean room assembly area, including assembly of hooks, cutters, sealing, bonding, brush assembly and inspection or perform 1-3 operations in the fiber assembly area, including polish, needle, press, epoxy and test. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
