REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a one (1) year Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) certificate from an accredited educational institution
  • Being an active member of the Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario (MDRAO) would be considered an asset
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a relevant area
  • Previous experience in MDR department an asset
  • Capable of strenuous activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, communication skills and ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Relate in a respectful, tactful and sensitive manner with patients, staff and physicians
  • Flexibility to modify routines as required to manage changing priorities
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Participates in departmental quality assurance activities
  • Maintains patient records in accordance with department guidelines
  • Adheres to the Hospital’s confidentiality policies
  • Provides feedback as required, responds to constructive feedback and takes necessary action to improve performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned by higher authority and which are unplanned, or of a transient nature and are consistent with the job purpose and duties.
  • Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
  • Bilingualism preferred (French/English)
