Sterling Periodontics is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and motivated Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our dynamic dental practice. As a vital member of our clinical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and sterile environment for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
· Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
· Assemble, package, and store medical and dental devices properly to maintain their sterility and functionality.
· Monitor and document sterilization cycles, processes, and inventory levels.
· Conduct routine maintenance and quality checks of sterilization equipment.
· Follow infection prevention and control policies to the highest standards.
· Collaborate closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and periodontist to ensure seamless workflow.
· Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry regulations and technologies.
Qualifications
· Medical Device Reprocessing Technician certification (or willingness to obtain).
· Previous experience in a dental or medical clinic is an asset but not required.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
