Medical Director (MICGP) – Women’s Health | Dublin

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Specialist GP with a strong interest in women's health to combine clinical excellence with strategic leadership within one of Ireland's most respected and progressive healthcare organisations.

This unique position is ideal for a doctor who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, mentoring healthcare professionals, and helping shape the future of women's health services. You will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team while continuing to provide specialist clinical care within a modern, state-of-the-art facility based in Dublin city centre.

The Role

• Provide clinical leadership to a highly skilled team of doctors and nurses
• Contribute strategically to service development, quality improvement initiatives and policy implementation
• Balance hands-on clinical practice with leadership and management responsibilities
• Participate in advocacy, education and media engagement opportunities
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the healthcare sector and government bodies
• Play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of women's healthcare services throughout Ireland

We Are Seeking

• A Specialist GP with a minimum of four years' post-specialist experience, including relevant experience gained within Ireland
• Full Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council in the Division of General Practice
• A genuine commitment to and passion for women's healthcare
• Family Planning Certificate and experience in LARC fitting
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, analytical and communication skills
• A clinician who is committed to delivering patient-centred care with compassion and professionalism
• Additional qualifications in women's health and/or healthcare management would be advantageous
• Availability to commence the role in December 2026

The Package

• Full-time position (35 hours per week)
• Hybrid working arrangement available following successful completion of probation
