We are currently looking for a RN Registered Nurse for a residential program in Pompano Beach FL that is operated exclusively for the State of Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. Position Overview: The RN provides professional nursing care to patient/students by utilizing the nursing process and assists in implementing direct daily care of clients. Helps to develop an individualized treatment plan in conjunction with patient/student, family and multidisciplinary team. Identifies short and long term measurable goals, including discharge planning, consistent with patient/student care standards, nursing practice, and policies and procedures. Assesses patient/students upon admission and throughout hospitalization utilizing observational and interviewing skills. Job Requirements: Current state of Florida residency. Must have current registered nursing license by the State of Florida Board of Nursing. Preferred adolescent or children experience in a mental health field, but not required. Ability to read and write at a high school graduate level, analytical skills, time management, problem-solving skills, organizational skills.
