The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Medical Director (part-time) to provide senior clinical leadership across our growing telehealth organisation. This is a pivotal role responsible for clinical governance, quality, risk oversight, and regulatory confidence, while also playing a key strategic role in shaping how we grow safely and sustainably. You will chair our Clinical Governance Committee (CGC), provide independent clinical oversight, and ensure our care models remain safe, evidence-based, and aligned with Australian regulatory standards. In addition to governance responsibilities, you will act as a senior clinical voice externally, engaging with regulators, industry bodies, and policy stakeholders, and providing clinical input into business growth initiatives, partnerships, and new service development. Key Responsibilities Clinical Governance & Quality Oversight Provide independent oversight of clinical governance, quality, and safety across the organisation Chair the Clinical Governance Committee (CGC), setting agenda and driving effective decision-making Review and approve clinical policies, guidelines, and clinical standards Oversee clinical quality metrics, incident trends, and governance frameworks Ensure clinical systems remain compliant with AHPRA and Australian healthcare regulatory requirements Clinical Risk & Safety Leadership Review and provide guidance on high-risk clinical escalations and serious incidents Ensure systemic clinical risks are identified, escalated, and addressed appropriately Provide independent clinical judgement on complex governance matters Support continuous improvement in patient safety and prescribing quality Strategic Clinical Leadership Provide senior clinical guidance to the Clinical Lead and broader leadership team Contribute to workforce planning, clinical role design, and competency frameworks Support development of innovative, evidence-based telehealth care models Provide input into clinical research, service design, and innovation initiatives Business Development & Clinical Growth Provide clinical input into new service offerings and growth initiatives Ensure all new clinical programs are safe, compliant, and evidence-based Support strategic partnerships and collaborations where clinical credibility is critical Advise leadership on clinical positioning and differentiation in the healthcare market Regulatory & Industry Engagement Engage with regulatory bodies, peak organisations, and industry stakeholders Contribute to consultations, submissions, and policy discussions relevant to the organisation and sector Monitor regulatory and policy developments and advise on implications Represent easykind in selected industry forums and professional discussions About You You are a senior GP with strong clinical governance experience who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and regulatory level. You bring: Registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA (essential) Significant experience in primary care and telehealth (essential) Strong background in clinical governance, quality, and risk management Deep understanding of Australian healthcare regulation Experience in or exposure to medicinal cannabis prescribing (highly desirable) Prior experience in a Medical Director or senior clinical leadership role (preferred) Confidence engaging with regulators, industry bodies, or policy environments (highly desirable) A pragmatic, balanced approach to innovation in healthcare You are comfortable stepping between: Clinical safety and governance Strategic growth conversations External regulatory and industry engagement Why Join easykind?
