Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine. Each location is equipped with an onsite lab and in-house x-ray capability. AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises. Job Summary To provide high-quality care to all patients. To assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients and providing oversight to advanced practice providers. To actively participate in marketing and representing the center to the community. Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care Supervise laboratory – take a training course to become a certified laboratory director, and ensure compliance with regulations Ability to manage the various facets of supervising a busy medical practice – ensure proper follow-up, perform chart review, and ensure all policies are followed Ensure the center has the necessary equipment, supplies, and medications to appropriately treat patients Ensure that medical records are completely and correctly documented – retraining staff physicians when needed Interview, hire, and train new providers and staff Compile QA data and address with staff providers as needed Oversee Occupational Health and Travel Medicine Programs Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Board Certified – ER, FP, or IM (with 1 yr ER/UC experience) Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family Professional appearance and attitude Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required Able to multi-task and work independently
