OVERVIEW

The Medical Equipment Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery, setup, and maintenance of medical equipment for healthcare facilities and patients. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage logistics, provide excellent customer service, and operate various vehicles for equipment transportation. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that all equipment meets safety standards and is functioning properly.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in route driving and commercial driving, with experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management.
  • Capable of performing courier duties as required for urgent deliveries.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
  • Ability to lift heavy items safely and follow proper loading techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver medical equipment to healthcare facilities and patients in a timely manner.
  • Load and unload medical equipment from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Set up and test medical equipment at the delivery site to ensure it is operational.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on the proper use of equipment
  • Be the hero behind the scenes, making an impact each and every day
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on medical equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory levels.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide instructions on equipment use and address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with staff to manage inventory and ensure availability of necessary equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols during transportation and setup of medical equipment.
  • On Call schedule is used and rotated amongst all Delivery Technicians.
